2014 for me means infinite experience. I refuse to believe that any human's emotional and spiritual capabilities are finite. I, therefore, am no exception. While I know I can only do so much physically and mentally, and while I am learning to recognize the cues to change my habits, (I'm 20, for some context) it's time I started truly pushing the boundaries of my emotional intelligence.
Can't let that pre-frontal cortex stop developing now!
Before I leave for Chile, I've made some goals for myself. Conveniently enough, it's also the New Year, so I'm told, giving me more motivation to amp up my ambition. Here are a few: practice Spanish every day in the form of five words or phrases; learn how to draw with pen and ink; share as much of myself with as many people as possible.
What I mean to say here is that even in this in-between phase (school ended in December, and I don't leave for Chile until February), there's still a wealth of knowledge and opportunity for growth.
p.s. I sort of was inspired by this post about the subtle joys of anticipation:
